The cutting tool of NC plane drilling machine is one of the preconditions to improve the machining efficiency. Its selection depends on the geometry of the workpiece to be processed, the material state, the fixture and the rigidity of the selected tool. Different tools have different uses in NC machining process, so what are the commonly used tools in NC machining process?5. Gear cutter
Gear cutter is used for machining gear tooth profile. According to the working principle of the cutter, the gear is divided into forming gear cutter and generating gear cutter. The commonly used forming gear cutters include disk gear milling cutter and finger gear cutter. The commonly used generating gear cutter includes gear shaper cutter, gear hob and shaving cutter. When selecting gear hob and gear shaper cutter, we should pay attention to the following points: (1) the basic parameters of the cutter (modulus, tooth profile angle, addendum coefficient, etc.) should be the same as the processed gear. (2) The accuracy grade of cutting tool shall be equivalent to that required by the gear to be machined. (3) The rotation direction of the cutter should be the same as that of the gear to be machined as far as possible. When hobbing spur gear, generally use left-hand tooth cutter.
